How to Add the XBOX Live Achievement Unlocked Widget to Your Tumblr Theme

Wondering how to get that Xbox live achievement unlocked widget on your tumblr theme? Well we’ve found a way to do just that. Let’s get started…

In case you don’t know how this widget looks (smaller of course), here it is :

First Step

Log in to your Tumblr account and select your blog from the sidebar to the right.

Step 2

Once your in your blogs dashboard, click on the “Settings” Gear from the top navigation.

Step 3

Select your tumblr blog once more from the sidebar to the left.

Step 4

Click on the “Theme [Customize]” button.

Step 5

You will be redirected to a page with your design on the right and a sidebar on the left. Select the “Edit html” option on the sidebar to the left.

Step 6

Now in another window/tab open bhlgaming.com/achievement/ and fill in the Gamescore and the Description fields to whatever values you want. Make sure to also Check off the “Sound?” option if you want it to play the sound, and the “Loop?” option if you want the achievement widget to stay opened without closing.

Step 7

Now hit “Submit” button and copy the code in the “HTML (for other sites) : “ Box.

Step 8

Head over to your “Customize | Tumblr” tab you have opened.

Scroll through the code till you find the </body> tag. Replace the ####CODE HERE#### in the code below with the code you have copied from the Generator. Now paste your result right above the </body> tag.

Final Step: Step 9

Lastly Select the “Appearance” tab on the top left and press on “Save” to save your changes.





Now visit your tumblog and let the Achievement Awards flow in.
